Product Description
This adapter ring, featuring a built-in focus confirmation chip and optical glass, is designed to mount Nikon F-mount lenses onto Sony/Minolta A-mount (MA) DSLR cameras. It provides focus confirmation on compatible bodies and ensures accurate infinity focus, serving as a reliable bridge between the two lens systems. Please note: The chip EXIF data is factory locked at 50mm F1.7 and cannot be edited.
Key Features
1.Focus Confirmation: The integrated chip activates the focus confirmation indicator (beep or focus point highlight) in the camera's viewfinder when manual focus is achieved, significantly improving focusing accuracy. This is an aid, not autofocus.
2.Built-in Optical Glass: Contains a precision optical element to correct the flange distance difference, guaranteeing sharp focus from close-up to infinity with your adapted lens.
3.Fixed EXIF Data: The chip transmits fixed EXIF information to the camera: 50mm focal length at F1.7. This data is preset and unchangeable.
4.Flexible Shooting Modes: Supports camera metering modes like Aperture Priority (A/Av). Note: In A/Av mode, the set aperture value will not display correctly on the camera (shows as F1.7), but exposure will be accurate.
5.Fully Manual Operation: A purely mechanical adapter. Aperture must be set manually using the aperture ring on the Nikon lens, and focusing is entirely manual. All automatic functions are disabled.
Important Notes
1.Compatibility: Works with most Nikon F-mount lenses (including AI, AI-S, D, G-type, etc. G-type lenses require the aperture to be locked at the minimum setting). Compatible with Sony A-mount and Minolta A-mount DSLR/SLR cameras, but does NOT work with Sony SLT cameras like the A99 and A99 II.
2.Operation: Always power off the camera before mounting or removing the adapter. The distance scale on the lens is for reference only and may not be accurate.
3.Metering: While Aperture Priority mode is supported, using Manual (M) mode with the camera's light meter is recommended for more intuitive control.
