Description
Pixco Petal Lens Hood HB-112 for Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR Lens
Product Description
This Pixco HB-112 is a third-party petal-shaped (flower-shaped) bayonet mount lens hood, specifically designed as an ideal replacement for the original HB-112 hood for the Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR lens. Made from high-quality engineering plastic, its unique petal design is precisely calculated to effectively block stray light from the sides and angles, significantly reducing flare and ghosting that can occur at the 12mm ultra-wide-angle end. This results in improved image purity and contrast. The extended hood also provides essential physical protection for the compact Z-mount lens front. It is a cost-effective accessory that combines optical optimization with reliable protection.
Key Features
1.Precise OEM Compatibility: Engineered to the exact specifications and bayonet design of the original Nikon HB-112 hood, ensuring a perfect, secure fit on the NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm PZ VR lens, fully interchangeable with the original part.
2.Optimized for Ultra-Wide Angle: The unique petal shape is optically optimized for the field of view of the 12-28mm ultra-wide zoom. It maximizes light blocking without causing vignetting at any focal length, especially at 12mm, preserving edge-to-edge image quality.
3.Effectively Reduces Flare & Ghosting: Minimizes veiling glare, loss of contrast, and lens flares caused by stray light in challenging backlit or side-lit conditions, helping you achieve clearer, more color-rich photographs.
4.Reliable Protection for Lens Front: Acts as a protective barrier for the delicate front lens element, filter threads (62mm), and the power zoom mechanism, shielding them from accidental bumps, scratches, and dust during everyday use.
5.Convenient Z-Mount Bayonet Attachment: Features the dedicated Z-mount bayonet design identical to the original. Simply align and rotate clockwise until it clicks securely into place, allowing for quick and effortless attachment and removal.
