Description:
Pixco AF confirm mount adapter ring with built-in focus confirmation chip, engineered to connect T2 / T-mount screw thread lenses to the Sony A mount (Alpha) and Minolta MA mount DSLR/SLT system. The chip provides a focus confirmation dot and beep in the viewfinder when manual focus is accurate, bringing a much easier manual focusing experience to T2 optics on modern bodies. The built-in optical correction glass maintains infinity focus with the correct registration distance. Constructed with anodized aluminum (camera side) and chrome-plated brass (lens side) for a precise, secure, and durable connection.
Key Features:
1.Focus Confirmation Aid: The integrated chip activates the focus confirmation indicator (dot or beep) in the camera's viewfinder when manual focus is achieved, significantly improving focusing accuracy. This is an aid, not autofocus.
2.Fixed EXIF Data: The chip transmits fixed EXIF information to the camera: 50mm focal length at F1.7. This data is factory locked and cannot be edited or changed.
3.Optical Glass for Infinity Focus: Contains a precision optical correction element to correct the flange distance difference, guaranteeing sharp focus from close-up to infinity.
4.All-Metal Precision Composite Build: Camera-side mount is anodized aluminum alloy; lens-side mount is chrome-plated brass. Precision-machined for a secure, wobble-free, gap-free connection.
5.Image Stabilization Activatable: Since the body recognizes the F1.7 aperture value, the AS (Anti-Shake) stabilization function on supported bodies can operate normally.
Important Usage Notes:
NOT compatible with A99 series: This adapter does NOT fit Sony A99 and A99 II cameras.
EXIF Data Locked: The chip's EXIF data is locked at 50mm F1.7 from the factory and cannot be edited or changed. The aperture value displayed on the body is for reference only; actual aperture must be adjusted manually on the lens.
Not Autofocus: Focus confirmation is NOT autofocus. This is a purely mechanical adapter that does NOT support autofocus, auto aperture, or any electronic communication. Aperture and focus must be fully manually controlled.
Exposure & Metering:
A (Aperture Priority) or M (Manual) mode can be used.
In A mode, the aperture value displayed on the body is inaccurate (fixed at F1.7), but exposure remains accurate. "Stop-down metering" is required.
Using M mode with the camera's light meter is recommended for more intuitive control.
Installation: Always power off the camera before mounting or removing the adapter.
Distance Scale: The distance scale on the lens is for reference only and may not be accurate.
Operation Flow: Set lens aperture to maximum → half-press shutter → turn focus ring until focus confirmation dot lights → adjust to desired aperture → press shutter to shoot.
Compatible Lenses:T2 / T-mount screw thread lenses (42mm × 0.75).
Compatible Cameras:Sony A mount (Alpha) DSLR/SLT bodies (excluding A99/A99 II), also compatible with Minolta MA mount (Dynax/MAXXUM) bodies.
