Description
Pixco EMF AF Confirm Mount Adapter Ring for Contax Yashica Lens to Canon EOS EF 5D III 6D 70D
Product Description
This EMF AF Confirm Adapter Ring is engineered to bridge classic Contax/Yashica (CY) mount manual lenses with modern Canon EOS EF mount DSLR cameras. It features a built-in programmable confirmation chip that not only enables focus confirmation signals on compatible bodies but also allows for manual input of lens parameters, unlocking the full digital potential of your vintage glass.
Key Features
1.Programmable Smart Chip: The chip allows you to manually set and save the lens's maximum aperture, focal length (1mm-65535mm), and focus micro-adjustment value (0-31), providing the camera with accurate lens data. It ships with default settings of 50mm F1.4.
2.Focus Confirmation: On supported EOS bodies, it provides visual/audible confirmation (focus point highlight or beep) in the viewfinder when manual focus is achieved, significantly enhancing focusing accuracy.
3.Precision All-Metal Build: Machined from high-precision brass for durability and a secure fit. Features an adjustable stop screw and a lens lock to prevent accidental rotation.
4.Accurate Infinity Focus: Precision engineering ensures correct flange distance compensation, guaranteeing full focus range from minimum distance to infinity.
5.Flexible Shooting Modes: Supports standard stop-down metering shooting, as well as shooting in Aperture Priority (Av) mode (note: EXIF will record the lens's maximum aperture in this mode).
Compatibility List
Compatible Lenses: All Contax/Yashica (CY) mount manual focus lenses.
Compatible Cameras: Canon EOS DSLR cameras that support focus confirmation, including:
EOS 5D Mark III, 5D Mark II, 5D, 6D
EOS 7D, 70D, 60D, 50D, 40D, 30D
EOS 100D, 700D, 650D, 600D, 550D, 500D, 450D, 400D, 350D, 300D, 1100D, 1000D
Incompatible Cameras: All EOS-1D Series models, and film bodies EOS 30, 30V, 33V.
Important Notes
1.Fully Manual Operation: This is a mechanical adapter. Aperture must be set manually using the lens's own aperture ring. Auto-exposure and autofocus are not supported.
2.Crucial Setting Limit: As per the manual, when setting the maximum aperture for the chip, never set it slower (smaller) than F5.6, or the camera's focus detection may fail to work.
3.Parameter Configuration: Chip parameters (max aperture, focal length, micro-adjustment) are set by entering specific sequences via the camera's aperture dial. Please refer to the included user manual for detailed programming steps.
4.General Shooting Workflow: Typically, you need to set the lens aperture to its maximum for focusing and metering. After achieving focus, stop down the lens aperture ring to your desired shooting aperture, then take the picture.
