This manual adapter ring, with a built-in focus confirmation chip, allows you to mount classic Olympus OM-mount manual lenses onto Four Thirds system DSLR cameras. Precision-machined from brass and aluminum alloy, it ensures a solid connection. The chip provides focus confirmation (viewfinder indicator or beep) when accurate manual focus is achieved, greatly enhancing focusing precision and speed. Engineered to support infinity focus, it unlocks the potential of vintage lenses on modern digital bodies.
Key Features
1.Focus Confirmation Chip: Provides visual/audible confirmation in the viewfinder upon achieving precise manual focus, aiding in faster and more accurate focusing. (Note: This is a focus aid, NOT autofocus. Manual focusing via the lens ring is required).
2.Infinity Focus Support: Precisely machined to maintain the correct flange distance, enabling compatible OM lenses to achieve sharp focus at infinity, suitable for landscapes and more.
3.Fixed EXIF Data: Transmits fixed, non-programmable EXIF data (50mm, F2.8) to the camera. This data is preset and cannot be altered, and does not reflect the lens's actual parameters.
4.Fully Manual Operation: This is a non-electronic, mechanical adapter. All automatic functions (auto-aperture, autofocus) are disabled. Aperture must be set manually using the lens's aperture ring.
5.Metal Construction: Features a brass lens mount and an aluminum body for a durable, secure, and wobble-free connection.
Important Usage Notes
1.Camera Mode: Set your camera to Manual (M) mode.
2.Aperture Control & Metering: Aperture must be set manually via the lens's aperture ring. You must use stop-down metering: press the camera's Depth-of-Field Preview button to stop down the lens to the set aperture for metering.
3.Focusing & Handling: Focus manually by turning the lens focus ring. Watch for the focus confirmation indicator to activate before shooting. Always turn off the camera before installing or removing the adapter.
