This adapter enables the use of Pentax PK-mount lenses on Olympus Four Thirds system DSLR cameras. It features a built-in electronic chip that activates the camera's focus confirmation signal (viewfinder indicator or beep) when accurate manual focus is achieved, significantly improving focusing speed and accuracy. Precision-engineered from brass and aluminum alloy, it provides a solid and reliable connection, ensuring full focus capability from close-up to infinity.
Key Features
1.Focus Confirmation Chip: Provides visual/audible confirmation in the viewfinder upon achieving precise manual focus, aiding in faster and more accurate focusing. (Note: This is a focus aid, NOT autofocus. Manual focusing via the lens ring is required).
2.Infinity Focus Support: Meticulously machined to maintain the correct flange distance, allowing compatible Pentax PK lenses to achieve sharp focus at infinity on Four Thirds bodies.
3.Fixed EXIF Data: The chip transmits fixed, non-programmable EXIF data (50mm, F2.8) to the camera. This data is preset and cannot be altered, and does not reflect the lens's actual parameters.
4.Fully Manual Operation: This is a non-electronic, mechanical adapter. All automatic functions (autofocus, auto-aperture) are disabled. Aperture must be set manually using the lens's aperture ring.
5.Stop-Down Metering Required: Since aperture data is not communicated, you must use stop-down metering. Press the camera's Depth-of-Field Preview button to meter at the set shooting aperture.
Important Usage Notes
1.Recommended Camera Mode: Set your camera to Manual (M) mode for the best control and compatibility. In Aperture Priority (A/Av) mode, the aperture value may not display correctly. Auto exposure control in Program (P) and Shutter Priority (S/Tv) modes may not function properly.
2.Lens & Handling Notes: The distance scale on the lens might not indicate the actual focusing distance. Always turn off the camera before installing or removing the adapter.
